Austria’s capital community volunteers deliver fact-based drug education with young people across the city

VIENNA, Austria — 23 December 2025 — Volunteers linked to “A Drug-Free World” Austria have expanded outreach in Vienna, speaking with youth, families and educators via street information stands and community events. The Vienna effort is led by Gabriele Toker, a local organiser, the initiative uses “Truth About Drugs” materials to provide clear information on drug risks, with particular attention to cannabis, described by public monitoring bodies as the most widely used illicit drug in Europe. According to organisers, the Vienna activities focus on early prevention, with visibility at major public events, including the Donauinselfest, while also connecting with educators interested in classroom-ready resources. Ivan Arjona, Scientology’s representative to the European institutions and the United Nations, Foundation for a Drug-Free World said: “Reliable, early information helps young people make free and responsible choices—strengthening public health and civic responsibility.”
